Terms of service
Last updated: 2021-03-25
The following terms apply to Quickbutik's services. Quickbutik AB is a Swedish limited company with organization number 556980-9105. The terms govern the contractual relationship between Quickbutik AB ("Quickbutik") and the customer ("the Customer") of an "Account" for the service.
Introduction
Quickbutik is a web service, an e-commerce solution, that lets you start and run an online store.
With Quickbutik, you rent a complete e-commerce solution and pay recurring periodic payments (subscription) to keep your store active and working.
Customer
By electronically ordering a subscription to Quickbutik's service, the customer acquires only the right to use the e-commerce solution in accordance with Quickbutik's general terms and privacy terms. By electronic order, we mean an order placed by actively registering via the internet at the website quickbutik.com.
Quickbutik's services are not available to people under 18. If the customer is under 18, the service may only be used with the consent of a guardian or under their supervision.
During registration, the Customer must provide a correct email address and other related information in order to register an Account with Quickbutik. No automated methods, robots, or similar may be used to register an Account on Quickbutik.
Payment
After any free trial period, the Customer will automatically be prompted to pay in advance in order to continue using Quickbutik.
Payment is periodic, on either a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis. All payments are made in advance and paid by card.
All prices are generally listed exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. All payments are exclusive of taxes, fees, or duties.
Refunds are not available for purchases of the service, upgrades, or downgrades.
When upgrading the pricing plan from an existing pricing plan, any remaining prepaid subscription cost is credited so that you only pay the difference. When changing the billing period or downgrading the pricing plan, the change takes effect when the current period ends. A month at Quickbutik corresponds to 30 days, a quarter to 90 days, and a year to 360 days.
Contract period and termination of subscription
All subscriptions are time-limited agreements running for either 1, 3, or 12 months depending on the Customer's preference and order.
Along with payment being made in advance, there is no notice period or lock-in for the subscriptions.
All subscriptions are automatically renewed when the contract period ends, unless the Customer has chosen to cancel the subscription by clicking "Cancel subscription" in the Customer's dashboard.
The Customer can always close their store themselves by setting it to "Private" status and canceling their subscription.
If Quickbutik cannot deliver the service to the Customer for at least 80% of the agreed time (as a result of operational errors), the Customer has the full right to cancel the agreement and have the full amount refunded. In such a situation, the Customer must always contact Quickbutik directly via support@quickbutik.com, as this is the time that counts as the first contact time.
Termination of the agreement
Quickbutik has the right to terminate the agreement during the contract period with immediate effect if the Customer has breached any provision of the agreement that is of serious importance to Quickbutik.
Customer's responsibility
The Customer commits to following Swedish and foreign law when using Quickbutik; this applies to all content and activity. This means that the Customer is responsible for all information and data published from their Account. The Customer also ensures that their use of Quickbutik does not, directly or indirectly, infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
The Customer may not, under any circumstances, knowingly engage in activity that places an unusually heavy load on Quickbutik's servers or features. The Customer may not deconstruct or otherwise attempt to discover the source code for the service, except to the extent such activity is explicitly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this restriction.
The Customer is solely responsible for the security of access to their Account. Quickbutik is not responsible for any damages done by authorized or unauthorized persons.
The Customer is responsible for all content, data, and activity that occurs through their Account. Content will be monitored and illegal content may be removed without prior warning, which may result in the deactivation of the Customer's Account.
If Quickbutik considers that the Customer's content violates the law or Quickbutik's general terms, Quickbutik will notify the Customer and ask them to remove the inappropriate content from the service. Recurring violations of our terms may result in the Customer's Account being deactivated and the Customer being denied access to their Account.
Quickbutik's responsibility
Quickbutik strives for the highest possible operational stability but is not responsible for outages or operational disruptions, including those caused outside of Quickbutik's control (such as power outages, equipment, internet connection, coverage, telephone connection). Quickbutik therefore cannot be responsible for or guarantee error-free use.
Quickbutik is provided as is and Quickbutik is not responsible for additional representations, warranties, or similar.
If there is an interruption in the service, Quickbutik shall take reasonable and prompt action to restore the service to normal as soon as possible.
Changes
Quickbutik may update, change, and improve the service on an ongoing basis. Quickbutik may also change the process, composition, and design of the service. Changes will be communicated to the Customer, but may occur without prior notice and may affect previous results, information, or processes in the service.
Limitation of liability
Quickbutik does not provide compensation for system failures, whether minor or major errors, downtime, unavailable service, loss of data, damage to third-party property, or similar.
Quickbutik is liable for a maximum compensation equal to an amount of 1 year of subscription to the service.
Force Majeure
Quickbutik is released from penalties if the fulfillment of a specific commitment is prevented or substantially complicated by circumstances that the party could not reasonably have controlled or foreseen. Mitigating circumstances shall include, among other things, labor conflict, war, unrest, lightning strikes, fires, extreme weather conditions, government regulations or other public regulations, faults in external telephone connections, general shortages of transport, goods, or energy, or other similar circumstances.
If the fulfillment of the Agreement is substantially prevented for a longer period than three months due to circumstances as above, the Customer has the right to terminate the Agreement with immediate effect regarding the affected service.
Disputes
Disputes regarding the validity, interpretation, applicability, or application of the user terms shall be decided in a general court, with Malmö District Court as the first instance.

Frequently asked questions
-
Do I have to pay after the trial?
Of course not! If you decide not to continue after the trial, the store just goes offline automatically. You don't need to do anything to cancel. -
Is there a lock-in period?
No, there's no lock-in or notice period. If you cancel, the store stops renewing and goes offline after the current period ends. -
Are there any other costs besides the fixed price?
No, not with us. You always have one fixed cost to plan around. There are payment providers (like Klarna) that charge a transaction fee on sales, but that's not something we charge.
